Google Cloud Platform Engineer – Vertex AI, GKE, Terraform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Develop and implement AI-driven cloud solutions utilizing Vertex AI, Agent Builder, and Gemini Enterprise.

• Deploy, manage, and enhance containerized workloads through Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Cloud Run.

• Create reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, which includes Terraform modules and automated deployment pipelines.

• Design and execute secure cloud networking involving VPCs, Subnets, Firewall Rules, Private Service Connect, VPNs, DNS, and Load Balancers.

• Configure and oversee IAM, Cloud Identity, Service Accounts, RBAC, and Workload Identity Federation.

• Build and sustain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure through Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.

• Implement strategies for high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.

• Collaborate with application development, architecture, security, and DevOps teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.

• Engage in production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Keep abreast of emerging Google Cloud technologies, AI capabilities, and cloud best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

• Extensive experience in designing and managing enterprise-scale Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.

• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (Mandatory).

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Vertex AI, Agent Builder / Agent Platform, and Gemini Enterprise.

• Experience with Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Compute Engine.

• Knowledge of VPC Networking, Load Balancing, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, Terraform Modules, and Terraform State Management.

• Skills in Infrastructure Automation, Containers & Kubernetes, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Kubernetes Administration.

• Experience with Docker, Helm Charts, Ingress Controllers, and Container Security.

• Proficiency in Identity & Security, including Cloud Identity, IAM, Service Accounts, Workload Identity Federation, and RBAC Security Best Practices.

• Understanding of Cloud Governance, Networking, VPC, Subnets, Firewall Rules, Private Service Connect, VPN, DNS, Hybrid Connectivity, and Load Balancers.

• Familiarity with DevOps & CI/CD practices, especially with tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

• Strong background in CI/CD Pipeline Design, Infrastructure Deployment Pipelines, Automated Deployments, Monitoring & Operations, and Incident Management.

• Skills in Root Cause Analysis, Performance Optimization, and High Availability Architecture.
