Golang System Software Engineer – Containers, Virtualisation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and document system-level code in Go.

• Create data models, design database schemas, and implement data storage solutions using a dqlite (SQL) database.

• Ensure code quality through static analysis, unit testing, and system testing.

• Actively collaborate with a distributed team.

• Engage in discussions and work together to identify effective solutions.

• Work remotely with opportunities for global travel 2 to 4 weeks per year for both internal and external events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in programming with Go and C.

• Strong understanding of networking and storage technologies.

• Experienced in two or more of the following: cloud computing, virtualization, containers, distributed systems, and open source community.

• Possess curiosity, flexibility, articulate communication skills, and accountability.

• Appreciate the importance of soft skills and demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit, thoughtfulness, and self-motivation.

• Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field.
