This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Accountable for the strategic planning, development, and execution of global publication initiatives across designated therapeutic areas.
• Ensures consistency with the Global Publication Plans and overarching Medical Strategies, while adhering to the highest standards of scientific integrity and ethics.
• Directs the rollout of the global publication strategy for assigned products and indications, encompassing both HQ-driven and affiliate-supported publications.
• Oversees the complete publication process: from concept creation and author engagement to internal review and submission of abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.
• Simultaneously manages multiple publication assets in accordance with GPP, ICMJE, and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborates across various functions, including Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Biostatistics, and external partners, to ensure scientific precision and coherence.
• Represents the publication function in both internal and external meetings, including Joint Publication Teams with partner organizations.
• Maintains publication tracking systems and provides regular updates to the Global Publication Team.
• Assists in organizing the annual global publication workshop and contributes to the formulation of best practices.
• Master's degree in life sciences or another relevant medical field; a PhD is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in publication management and expertise in publication tracking tools (e.g., Pubstrat).
• Relevant background in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry (e.g., Medical Affairs/Scientific Communications/Clinical or Preclinical Sciences, etc.) or experience with a medical communications agency that supports global pharma clients.
• Experience in the U.S. or with a U.S. affiliate is essential.
• CMPP certification is a plus.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, enabling the management of multiple assets concurrently in a complex, matrixed environment.
• Capability to develop, accurately evaluate, and analyze medical/scientific publications and literature.
• Exceptional project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proven presentation and communication skills.
