Global Legal Project and Value Pricing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the annual budget planning and monitoring for intricate, value-based fee arrangements, ensuring immediate visibility into financial performance.

• Serve as the main financial advisor to Partners and client stakeholders regarding budget planning, expense optimization, and fee structures.

• Create, manage, and report on budgets for multi-jurisdictional matters in collaboration with the Global Billing Coordinator, ensuring adherence to client OCGs.

• Oversee the entire project lifecycle for substantial, cross-border client programs spanning over 50 countries, with established governance and reporting frameworks.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (internal lawyers, local counsel, ALSPs, technology) across various time zones and workstreams.

• Proactively recognize and address project risks, scheduling conflicts, and resource deficiencies.

• Assist in client relationship management through consistent reporting, governance meetings, and the preparation of materials for partner and executive forums.

• Draft communications and presentations for leadership that demonstrate strong strategic analysis and insights.

• Identify, implement, and integrate AI-driven and legal technology tools to enhance efficiency, quality, and matter management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management/pricing and legal project management within a law firm, in-house legal department, or ALSP setting.

• Extensive knowledge in legal matter budgeting, alternative fee arrangements (AFAs), compliance with outside counsel guidelines, and/or legal financial reporting.

• Outstanding communication abilities, capable of preparing and presenting information to senior client and firm leadership.

• High level of proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, and the use of CoPilot (or similar) and AI tools for project management and workflow efficiency.

• Proven experience in managing multi-jurisdictional legal budgets with significant budget responsibilities.

• Background in dedicated client service or embedded legal operations roles.

• Familiarity with cross-border regulatory, M&A, or commercial matters.

• Working knowledge of legal AI platforms such as Harvey, Legora, or similar tools.
