
Global Legal Project and Value Pricing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Oversee the annual budget planning and monitoring for intricate, value-based fee arrangements, ensuring immediate visibility into financial performance.
β’ Serve as the main financial advisor to Partners and client stakeholders regarding budget planning, expense optimization, and fee structures.
β’ Create, manage, and report on budgets for multi-jurisdictional matters in collaboration with the Global Billing Coordinator, ensuring adherence to client OCGs.
β’ Oversee the entire project lifecycle for substantial, cross-border client programs spanning over 50 countries, with established governance and reporting frameworks.
β’ Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (internal lawyers, local counsel, ALSPs, technology) across various time zones and workstreams.
β’ Proactively recognize and address project risks, scheduling conflicts, and resource deficiencies.
β’ Assist in client relationship management through consistent reporting, governance meetings, and the preparation of materials for partner and executive forums.
β’ Draft communications and presentations for leadership that demonstrate strong strategic analysis and insights.
β’ Identify, implement, and integrate AI-driven and legal technology tools to enhance efficiency, quality, and matter management.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management/pricing and legal project management within a law firm, in-house legal department, or ALSP setting.
β’ Extensive knowledge in legal matter budgeting, alternative fee arrangements (AFAs), compliance with outside counsel guidelines, and/or legal financial reporting.
β’ Outstanding communication abilities, capable of preparing and presenting information to senior client and firm leadership.
β’ High level of proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, and the use of CoPilot (or similar) and AI tools for project management and workflow efficiency.
β’ **Preferred**
β’ Proven experience in managing multi-jurisdictional legal budgets with significant budget responsibilities.
β’ Background in dedicated client service or embedded legal operations roles.
β’ Familiarity with cross-border regulatory, M&A, or commercial matters.
β’ Working knowledge of legal AI platforms such as Harvey, Legora, or similar tools.
β’ The compensation and benefits package will be commensurate with the experience of the successful candidate and the location where they are hired.
