This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Global Close & Consolidation: Take ownership of the comprehensive monthly close process for the US parent company and its international subsidiaries (Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico, and Nepal), encompassing consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and multi-currency revaluation.
• Internal Controls: Develop and implement scalable controls throughout the sales-to-cash and procure-to-pay cycles, ensuring a balance between thoroughness and the flexibility required by a rapidly growing organization.
• Intercompany & Transfer Pricing: Oversee intercompany billing, financing, and cost-allocation processes in accordance with our transfer pricing framework, collaborating with external advisors across various jurisdictions.
• Audit, Tax & Compliance: Supervise external audits, tax submissions, and statutory compliance for all entities in collaboration with third-party providers in each respective country.
• Cash & Treasury: Assist with cash flow reporting, foreign exchange exposure management, and working capital oversight across different currencies and banking relationships.
• Financial Planning & Forecasting: Lead long-term business strategy development, annual budgeting, and ongoing forecasts to align with corporate objectives.
• Team & Partner Management: Oversee and mentor our Accounting Manager based in Uruguay, as well as guide the third-party accounting partners who handle statutory, tax, and payroll functions across our entities. The team will expand as the company grows.
• Experience: A minimum of 7 years in progressive accounting leadership roles, with recent experience managing the close and consolidation processes for a multi-entity organization.
• Credential: Active US CPA certification.
• Industry: Hands-on accounting experience within a professional services or technology consulting environment.
• Multi-Entity Depth: Proven experience in consolidating multiple legal entities, including handling intercompany transactions and multi-currency reporting.
• Technical Accounting: Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
• Audit & Tax: Demonstrated success in managing external audits and coordinating tax compliance across various entities.
• People & Vendor Management: Experience in managing accounting personnel and directing third-party service providers or outsourced accounting partners.
• Builder's Mindset: A history of establishing or significantly enhancing accounting processes, rather than merely maintaining them.
• Communication: A clear and straightforward communicator who makes finance comprehensible and actionable for non-financial stakeholders.
