This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Holds global and/or regional accountability for strategic high-value semiconductor commodities or their equivalents, focusing on price/value assessment, product and/or service negotiations, and terms and conditions.
• Formulates and executes a procurement strategy for the managed commodities, encompassing technology direction, supplier analysis, development and selection, and pricing strategy.
• Serves as the primary point of contact with Celestica’s suppliers, overseeing all aspects of relationship management, contract negotiation, business framework establishment for transactions, performance evaluations, business development, and supplier awards programs.
• Procures all products and services while ensuring a consistent supply chain, achieving the lowest cost solutions for components or services.
• Directs global sites and provides performance reports for cost analysis to senior management.
• Leads negotiations for the managed commodities, offering strategic guidance on negotiation tactics and planning, developing commodity strategies, and ensuring consistent communication with suppliers.
• Oversees the Global Commodity Negotiation process to guarantee accurate forecasting and pricing precision.
• Performs strategic analyses on pricing, market dynamics, suppliers, customers, competitors, contracts, and long-term agreements.
• Promotes process improvements, spearheads the development of IT tools for the team, defines business processes, and implements new tools and processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in Commodity Management.
• Experience managing high-value semiconductor commodities or equivalent electronic components is highly beneficial.
• Strong understanding of market conditions related to high-value semiconductor commodities or equivalent electronics.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the global business landscape and the operations, products, and processes of high-value semiconductor suppliers.
• Proficient in office systems and analytical tools.
• Ability to lead complex negotiations with effectiveness.
• Strong capacity to collaborate across internal functions to meet Celestica’s objectives.
• Skill in evaluating, prioritizing, and problem-solving various tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
