This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Identify, acquire, and manage all new and expanding business opportunities.
• Lead the global business development efforts for the Aerospace & Defense sector.
• Secure new contracts and enhance the existing portfolio by cultivating and managing client relationships.
• Enhance DSV's standing within the US defense ecosystem.
• Oversee and coordinate projects during the tendering and implementation stages.
• Assist Global Account Directors with significant, strategic CL opportunities.
• Convert the global Aerospace & Defense strategy into targeted Business Development initiatives.
• Foster growth in prioritized subverticals within the Aerospace & Defense sector.
• Identify necessary and lacking commercial products/services.
• Manage the pipeline based on the size of opportunities, conversion rates, and strategic importance.
• Contribute to the development of unique Aerospace & Defense capabilities.
• Represent DSV at pertinent industry forums, associations, and trade events.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience in the Aerospace & Defense and/or logistics sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of the US Aerospace & Defense market landscape.
• At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in senior customer-facing business development or account leadership positions.
• A robust network and relationship-building skills within the Aerospace & Defense industry are preferred.
• Experience with complex RFQs/RFPs.
• Strong understanding of warehousing operations, supply chain resilience, and inventory management.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements pertinent to Aerospace & Defense logistics is preferred.
• Proven experience and success in large-scale business development projects.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presentation abilities.
• Capacity to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the US and internationally.
