GitLab Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Create and oversee GitLab repositories for version control, collaborative coding, and monitoring changes to scripts, documentation, and system settings.

• Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) within GitLab to limit repository access and modifications to authorized individuals.

• Prepare the GitLab Access & Security Compliance Report, detailing repository management, user access controls, and security protocols.

• Assist in fulfilling mission objectives for developing, integrating, and maintaining a scalable, federated data ecosystem.

• Facilitate interoperability, governance, mission-driven analytics, real-time information sharing, dynamic data integration, and mission-specific analytical capabilities for a DoD client.

⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge and expertise in administering, maintaining, and optimizing GitLab for version control, repository management, and secure DevSecOps workflows.

• Proficiency in configuring CI/CD pipelines, managing access controls, and adhering to code repository best practices.

• Strong skills in troubleshooting and automation.

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or five years of equivalent experience in GitLab administration.

• Proven experience in managing Git repositories, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring secure DevSecOps integration.

• Familiarity with access control policies, automated testing frameworks, and software configuration management.

• Preferred but not mandatory: GitLab Certified Associate or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).

• Reliable internet connection.
