GI Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +16 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide virtual patient care in accordance with Oshi's evidence-based care model, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for gastrointestinal conditions, particularly focusing on DGBIs, GERD, and IBD through video consultations and chat messaging.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team comprising GI physicians, dietitians, behavioral health specialists, and care coordinators to execute coordinated, comprehensive care plans.

• Follow clinical protocols, such as ROME IV criteria and AGA and ACG guidelines, to guarantee high-quality, evidence-based care delivery.

• Accurately and promptly document patient interactions within the EHR, ensuring thorough and compliant record-keeping.

• Dedicate around 30 hours weekly to direct patient care and 10 hours to documentation, meetings, and administrative tasks.

• This position does not conform to a traditional 9-5 schedule; it involves early morning, evening, and weekend hours to accommodate patient accessibility needs. Flexibility and a readiness to work outside standard business hours are crucial.

• Engage in quality improvement initiatives, clinical program development, and professional training to remain updated in the field of gastrointestinal care.

• Seek cross-licensure opportunities and uphold good standing with all pertinent licenses and certifications.


⛳️ Requirements

• Active licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing.

• Current certification from ANCC, AANP, or another qualifying agency as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner.

• At least 3 years of experience in the gastroenterology specialty within an outpatient environment.

• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary care providers, including physicians, psychologists, and registered dietitians.
