This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
β’ Execute translation assignments, encompassing in-game text, UI, legally-relevant documents, and supplementary materials while adhering to client guidelines, First Party terminology, and established tone and style.
β’ Conduct editorial activities, including the revision and evaluation of translations to guarantee linguistic precision, consistency, and a natural flow.
β’ Engage in creative translation and localization efforts, which involve developing, maintaining, and updating glossaries, style guides, and character profiles within defined ownership frameworks.
β’ Achieve project deadlines and productivity objectives while ensuring high quality within a specified localization pipeline.
β’ Maintain consistency of tone, voice, and terminology across all content and game elements.
β’ Collaborate with fellow translators to assess work for cohesion and logical content progression.
β’ Identify and address localization challenges, including issues raised during review and bugs detected during testing.
β’ Utilize translation and project management tools (e.g., memoQ, JIRA, client-specific systems) to monitor progress and ensure workflow visibility.
β’ Input, track, and respond to localization inquiries following team workflows.
β’ Aid in onboarding new translators by providing guidance on language-specific tools and project standards.
β’ Support candidate test evaluations and contribute to updates as necessary.
β’ Collaborate closely with clients on daily language matters, maintaining constant communication to align content.
β’ Adapt flexibly to changing project requirements and priorities.
β’ Proficient in both German and English.
β’ Strong cultural awareness of the German market.
β’ Capable of working on a fixed term contract as an internal translator.
β’ 1β3 years of experience in translation, localization, or related language services (game localization experience preferred).
β’ Solid understanding of CAT tools (e.g., memoQ, Trados, XTM, client-specific systems) and familiarity with workflow platforms (e.g., JIRA, Plunet).
β’ Exceptional linguistic accuracy and attention to detail, with a strong emphasis on consistency.
β’ Collaborative mindset with the ability to effectively manage independent tasks.
β’ Strong problem-solving and communication abilities; adaptable to feedback and changing project needs.
β’ Comfortable working under tight deadlines with a positive, proactive demeanor.
