This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Administration of ArcGIS Enterprise
• Oversee highly available multi-environment ArcGIS Enterprise platforms including installations, upgrades, SSL, and datastores
• Configure and manage integration with Windows Server/IIS
• Monitor system performance and provide technical support to adhere to SLA requirements
• Administer ArcGIS Datastore using SQL, encompassing advanced backup and synchronization processes
• Publish and refine geospatial services, dashboards, StoryMaps, and Experience Builder applications
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and manage ArcGIS Enterprise on Azure and AWS cloud environments
• Oversee Azure services such as Virtual Desktop (AVD), Blob Storage, Data Lake, Azure Functions, Azure CLI, Azure Application Gateway Configuration, and Azure Network Configuration
• Facilitate DevSecOps workflows for application and API promotions
• Monitor cloud expenses and assess architecture for scalability and cost efficiency
• Data Engineering & Development: Construct and maintain Python-based ETL pipelines utilizing serverless platforms (Azure Functions)
• Develop and sustain geoprocessing automation scripts using ArcPy, the ArcGIS Python API, and other open-source geospatial Python libraries
• Design and implement STAC-based cloud-native data pipelines
• Geospatial Analysis & Products: Perform geospatial research and analysis to create and maintain enterprise datasets
• Execute advanced geo-analytics workflows, including those utilizing Esri Deep Learning tools
• Client & Team Collaboration: Drive cross-functional collaboration among geospatial, development, and IT teams
• Provide support, training, and mentorship to end-users
• Collaborate with Esri Support on licensing, bug identification, and product enhancements
• Documentation & Best Practices: Create and maintain SOPs, knowledge base articles, and training materials
• Document system architectures, workflows, and configurations
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field
• Over 5 years of experience in ArcGIS Enterprise administration
• Practical experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms
• Experience in supporting large-scale, multi-user enterprise GIS environments
• Advanced understanding of ArcGIS Enterprise backend architecture, including configuration, content management, item structure, item relationships, and server communications
• Technical Skills: Proficient in the Esri stack (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Monitor, etc.), Azure administration (AVD, Storage, Azure NetApp Files, ARM/Bicep, Azure Functions), Programming: Python (ArcPy, ArcGIS Python API, and other open-source geospatial Python libraries), PowerShell, Databases: PostgreSQL, Security: SSL certificates, SAML/OAuth, understanding of DNS, Active Directory, network security fundamentals, Servers: Windows Server, IIS; Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu, etc.) is a plus
• Preferred / Nice to Have: Experience with Docker, Git, Jupyter Notebooks, FME / Data Interoperability Extension, familiarity with Jira and DevSecOps workflows, experience in deployment automation (PowerShell DSC, Azure CLI)
• Certifications (Preferred): Esri ArcGIS Enterprise Administration Professional or Enterprise Architecture Professional, Az-104 Certificate, or willingness to obtain it, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
