Geospatial Analysis Specialist, QGIS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, manage, and uphold spatial databases, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data across all projects.

• Conduct advanced geoprocessing and spatial modeling using QGIS, translating results into actionable insights.

• Develop, customize, and provide support for QGIS plugins and extensions to fulfill specific project needs.

• Streamline geospatial analysis workflows with Python (PyQGIS) to improve efficiency and reproducibility.

• Create high-quality cartographic maps and visualizations for inclusion in reports, presentations, and decision-making processes.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to gather requirements and design geospatial solutions.

• Clearly convey complex technical information both verbally and in writing to internal teams and external stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of QGIS, including management of spatial databases, geoprocessing, and map production.

• Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in automating processes within QGIS using PyQGIS.

• Thorough understanding of spatial projections, coordinate systems, and data transformations.

• Proven ability to customize QGIS through plugin development or scripting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Demonstrated experience in producing professional-quality cartographic outputs tailored to various decision-making contexts.
