Geodata Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Execute consulting projects centered on prospectivity analysis, geoscience data integration, and predictive modeling.

• Work closely with clients and internal teams to generate actionable insights for exploration.

• Process, analyze, and interpret datasets from geophysical, geological, geochemical, remote sensing, and drilling sources.

• Prepare high-quality technical reports, presentations, maps, and deliverables for clients.

• Assist in the development of project proposals, planning, and technical scoping activities.

• Ensure the timely completion of timesheets and engage in business development efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Geophysics, Geology, Geological Engineering, Mineral Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Professional registration in the relevant jurisdiction (P.Geo, P.Eng) or the capability to acquire such designation.

• Knowledge of geological sciences, mineral deposits, and mining/exploration processes.

• Experience utilizing machine learning in mineral exploration, geological modeling, mineral prospectivity mapping, or similar geoscience applications.

• Strong comprehension of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.

• Proficient in Python and widely-used scientific computing libraries.

• Experience in presenting technical findings to clients, industry groups, or scientific audiences.

• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in creating and adhering to templates, managing version control, documentation, and following established procedures.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (English required; English-French preferred).
