This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee the maintenance of generators, troubleshoot and resolve issues, as well as install and replace components or entire systems, and execute maintenance or upgrades.
• Carry out performance evaluations and routine generator upkeep.
• Interpret and adhere to blueprints and design specifications for installation and repair tasks.
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, controls, and additional components; ensure proper functionality through testing.
• Respond swiftly to power/generator alarms and manage assigned phone and email communications.
• Be prepared for 24/7 on-call responsibilities when necessary.
• Adhere to safety protocols, utilize safety gear, and take part in safety and training meetings.
• Service and repair commercial generators located on cell phone towers within the designated region.
• At least one year of substantial work experience related to generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes.
• Preferably two or more years of experience in generator maintenance.
• Comprehensive understanding of generator installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Familiarity with electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Moderate proficiency in computer skills.
• Basic awareness of relevant FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
• Capability to adhere to OSHA Standards.
• Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stand for extended periods.
• Competence to visually and audibly inspect and troubleshoot equipment and alarms.
• Willingness and ability to travel long distances and work during day, evening, or night hours.
• Availability for overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, holidays, and assigned 24-hour on-call duties.
• Openness to being away from home for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination.
