This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee site supervision and craft personnel at Signal Energy to guarantee that work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with specifications.

• Lead and assist lower-tier supervisors to ensure they receive training in safety, industrial relations, management expectations, and construction procedures.

• Assess labor needs, request manpower, and assign labor resources to align with the construction schedule.

• Collaborate with project teams to develop forecasts for manpower and equipment.

• Coordinate work activities, site access, and planning of work fronts between Signal Energy crews and subcontractors.

• Observe site operations to confirm adherence to applicable codes, standards, policies, procedures, drawings, and contract stipulations.

• Aid in the creation of construction procedures, project work instructions, and field execution plans.

• Ensure that project production boards, trackers, and reporting tools are accurate and up-to-date.

• Track construction work hours against relevant cost codes and work with Project Controls on weekly Construction Progress Reports.

• Engage in estimate reviews, project site inspections, hiring events, and discussions on production planning.

• Assist Directors, Estimating, and Construction Management with production rates and supervisory staffing strategies.

• Implement project safety plan requirements and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.

• Ensure that operator training is conducted, documented, and adhered to.

• Address routine industrial relations issues promptly to prevent escalation.

• Review new hires to verify accuracy in pay rates, titles, classifications, and qualifications.

• Ensure craft personnel are compensated accurately, within budget, and in compliance with applicable PWA/IRA guidelines.

• Support IRA-compliant projects by ensuring that required labor standards and apprenticeship ratios are upheld.

• Confirm that PWA/IRA apprenticeship ratios are maintained and escalate concerns as necessary.

• Ensure the development, implementation, and adherence to project-specific Quality Control Procedures and Inspection and Test Plans.

• Review and approve subcontractor Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, and other quality-related documentation.

• Verify that subcontractor resources are equipped to execute approved quality plans.

• Ensure that subcontractor inspections and surveillances are conducted.

• Serve as a field point of contact for construction quality concerns and facilitate prompt resolutions.

• Ensure that inspection logs, NCR/CAR logs, and other quality documentation are developed and maintained.

• Confirm that Quality Control training is completed and documented.

• Manage and perform audits of project activities according to the Project Audit Program.

• Collaborate with CWT on the development of WPS’s and Procedure Qualification Records when necessary.

• Ensure that Welder/Welding Operator Performance Qualifications are upheld when applicable.

• Ensure that Preventive Maintenance Schedules are created when required by contract.

• Coordinate daily permit requirements for construction activities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of utility-scale construction field operations, encompassing civil, mechanical, electrical, and/or renewable energy project execution.

• Capability to lead field supervision, craft personnel, operators, and subcontractors in a dynamic construction environment.

• In-depth understanding of construction safety protocols, OSHA standards, and site-specific safety initiatives.

• Proficient in reading, interpreting, and applying IFC drawings, specifications, procedures, and contract requirements.

• Strong acumen in manpower planning, production tracking, equipment planning, and cost-code reporting.

• Familiarity with quality control practices, Inspection and Test Plans, NCR/CAR processes, audits, and subcontractor quality documentation.

• Ability to identify risks associated with schedule, production, safety, quality, manpower, and equipment, and implement corrective measures.

• Excellent communication skills to resolve field-related issues directly and professionally.

• Preferred knowledge of PWA/IRA labor standards, apprenticeship ratios, craft classifications, and alignment of pay/titles.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, project tracking tools, and construction reporting systems.

• High school diploma is mandatory.

• A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent field leadership experience may be considered.

• A minimum of 10 years of construction experience is preferred.

• At least 5 years of experience as a superintendent, general superintendent, or in senior field leadership roles is preferred.

• Strong preference for experience in utility-scale solar, renewable energy, industrial, civil, electrical, mechanical, or heavy construction projects.

• Required experience in safety leadership, quality implementation, manpower planning, production tracking, subcontractor coordination, and project controls.

• Preferred experience with PWA/IRA compliance, apprenticeship ratios, craft classifications, and payroll/title auditing.

• OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

• First Aid/CPR certification is preferred.

• SWPPP training is preferred.

• Quality, welding, equipment, or construction management certifications are preferred when applicable.
