Gateway Safety Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Ensure the well-being and safety of employees while safeguarding the environment in vital Gateway facility operations.

• Oversee the WSHE management system and assist the global facilities team in applying safety protocols.

• Perform hazard and risk assessments, investigate incidents, and promote a culture of ongoing safety enhancement.

• Manage the reporting system for incidents, near-misses, and hazards.

• Create, schedule, and deliver safety training sessions.

• Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and generate Corrective Action (CA) documentation.

• Propel continuous improvement initiatives for safety and environmental performance across Gateways.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science/Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a relevant engineering/technical field.

• Over 5 years of experience in WSHE/EHS roles within critical facilities, data centers, telecom/teleport, utilities, or similar industrial 24/7 environments.

• Proven experience in administering or maintaining a safety management system based on the ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 framework.

• Experience in incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis / Corrective Action.

• Knowledge of electrical safety programs — NFPA 70E, arc flash, lockout/tagout procedures.

• Experience in contractor and construction safety management.
