This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Serve as a community ambassador for HCI in Vancouver, British Columbia, enhancing the organization's visibility and engaging new donors with our mission.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with major donors, community leaders, and partners to support HCI’s initiatives.

• Strategically utilize social media platforms to amplify HCI’s messaging, campaigns, and events within the Vancouver community.

• Keep an organized calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, and speaking engagements.

• Identify and connect with High-Net-Worth individuals in the area, collaborating closely with national leadership to align donor interests with key projects.

• Establish partnerships with local schools, colleges, and universities to encourage youth involvement in HCI programs.

• Work together with other NGOs and community organizations to explore and implement collaborative local projects.

• Develop and implement targeted fundraising strategies to engage potential donors and enhance financial contributions.

• Create innovative campaigns across various channels such as direct mail, online giving, peer-to-peer fundraising, and major gifts.

• Set and track fundraising goals, providing regular updates and impact reports to leadership.

• Analyze donor data to identify giving trends and optimize fundraising efforts accordingly.

• Organize and implement impactful community events in Vancouver to promote HCI’s mission and engage donors.

• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to assist with local outreach and fundraising campaigns.


⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred Post Secondary qualification in events planning, fundraising, project management, or a related field; equivalent experience is acceptable.

• Experience in fundraising, sales, or event planning, preferably within a non-profit organization.

• Demonstrated history of community activism and volunteering.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset.

• Strong prioritization and time management skills.

• Team-oriented individual with the ability to work independently.

• Commitment to HCI’s values and mission.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in French or another language is an advantage.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are essential.
