This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Assist in executing fundraising strategies and initiatives to meet revenue targets that align with the mission, vision, and strategic goals of Penny Appeal Canada.
• Foster and enhance fundraising income from individuals, corporations, congregations, community groups, and other stakeholders through campaigns, special events, workplace giving, major gifts, and various fundraising initiatives.
• Establish and nurture robust donor relationships through effective stewardship, engagement, and timely follow-up efforts.
• Aid development operations by ensuring precise donor data management, gift processing, donor acknowledgments, income reconciliation, and record maintenance.
• Cultivate and sustain strong connections with Masjids, community organizations, and local leaders to facilitate ongoing fundraising collections, campaign promotions, and community fundraising events.
• Offer fundraising guidance, resources, and support to community partners, volunteers, organizations, and individuals involved with Penny Appeal Canada.
• Advocate for Penny Appeal Canada's campaigns, programs, events, and appeals through community outreach initiatives and social media platforms, while serving as a positive ambassador for the organization.
• A post-secondary degree in fundraising, nonprofit management, communications, marketing, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the capability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (G Suite), Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with Asana or other project management tools is advantageous.
• Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and excel in a fast-paced setting.
• Proven ability to engage and collaborate with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, community organizations, and community leaders.
• Strong skills in program coordination, event planning, and community engagement.
• Capacity to demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, integrity, and personal credibility while fostering trust and positive working relationships.
• A collaborative team player who operates effectively within a collegial, mission-driven, and results-oriented environment.
• Flexible work approach, including the ability to support occasional evenings, weekends, events, and community activities as necessary.
• A valid driver's license in good standing and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Willingness and ability to travel across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador (approximately 30% of the time).
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
