Functional Modeling Engineer – Mid

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and develop electronic circuits and systems, including analog and digital circuits, microcontrollers, and interfaces with sensors and actuators.

• Select and evaluate electronic components to ensure optimal performance and high reliability.

• Develop and test prototypes, iterating designs based on performance and functional requirements.

• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software.

• Design and implement mechatronic systems, integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components.

• Develop control algorithms for motion control, feedback control, and other mechatronic functions.

• Analyze data from sensors and actuators to optimize system performance and functionality.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to mechatronic systems.

• Develop embedded software applications using Python and C++.

• Utilize Python for rapid prototyping, automation (scripting), and data analysis, and C++ for performance-critical applications and low-level hardware interaction.

• Write efficient and robust code for real-time applications, considering resource constraints and performance optimization.

• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure effective integration between software and hardware.

• Develop and execute test plans for electronic circuits, mechatronic systems, and embedded software.

• Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure the quality, reliability, and safety of products.

• Prepare technical documentation for electronic circuits, mechatronic systems, and software applications.

• Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to colleagues, stakeholders, and clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree and professional license in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronics and mechatronics design and development.

• Strong understanding of electronic principles, including circuit design, microcontrollers, and interfaces with sensors and actuators.

• **Experience in embedded programming using Python and C++.**

• Knowledge of control theory, robotics, or automation.

• Experience with **communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet.**

• Proficiency in electronic design automation (EDA) tools.

• Familiarity with **version control systems like Git.**
