Functional Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Convert business needs into functional requirements for data initiatives, concentrating on mapping business metrics and ensuring the integrity of customer master data rules.

• Master Data Cleansing Strategy: Assess the current state of databases (data cleansing) and suggest innovative solutions to enhance record quality without relying on existing tools at the bank.

• Bureau Mapping: Locate and assess external databases and market bureaus for acquisition, with the goal of enriching and validating customer/master data.

• Bridge between Business and IT: Work closely with stakeholders and developers to guarantee that technical solutions accurately embody business rules and established governance standards.

• Modeling and Governance: Develop and maintain both conceptual and logical data models, ensuring that documentation of metrics and quality processes is consistently updated.

• Validation and Quality: Conduct testing and validation of implemented solutions to confirm that metrics are precise and that data cleansing processes function as intended.

• Governance Gatekeeper: Serve as a facilitator within the Data Governance area, applying necessary standards to ensure efficiency and compliance in projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Mandatory Experience: Strong background with high-volume customer/master data repositories and a comprehensive understanding of data bureaus.

• Functional Profile: Experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, and mapping of business metrics.

• Technical Knowledge: Expertise in SQL for querying and analysis, along with experience in data modeling (both conceptual and logical).

• Conceptual Knowledge: Familiarity with data cleansing, data profiling, and data governance methodologies.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, Statistics, or related disciplines.

• Soft Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, capability to critically analyze complex issues, and independence to propose solutions from the ground up.

• Preferred Experience: Prior experience in financial institutions (banking sector).

• Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools.

• Basic software development knowledge to enhance interaction with the technical team.
