Functional Analyst – Financial Markets FX

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather, analyze, and document both business and functional requirements.

• Develop functional solutions for FX applications, including process flows, data models, and specifications for system behavior.

• Convert business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical documentation that can be utilized by the development team.

• Serve as the main liaison between business and technology for the designated project workstreams.

• Oversee and manage selected project workstreams by coordinating tasks, monitoring progress, and addressing risks as necessary.

• Plan and implement functional testing activities, which include preparing test cases, conducting SIT and UAT, and managing defect resolution.

• Engage in solution walkthroughs, sprint reviews, and demonstrations for stakeholders.

• Ensure project documentation remains clear and current throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to convert FX domain requirements into technical specifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar position within a Financial Markets or Capital Markets setting.

• Strong knowledge of FX products and market conventions, including spot, forwards, swaps, options, NDFs, and other related instruments.

• Demonstrated capability to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements from a variety of stakeholders.

• Experience in converting business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications, such as user stories, process flows, data mappings, and use cases.

• Proven ability to effectively collaborate with software development teams throughout the complete project lifecycle.

• Familiarity with software testing methodologies, including test planning, test case design, SIT, UAT coordination, and defect management.

• Strong ownership mentality—able to independently lead individual project workstreams and manage deliverables.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
