Fullstack Engineer – AdManager, Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance essential AdManager functionalities encompassing campaign setup, reporting, onboarding, creative management, payment processing, account management, and AI-driven workflows.

• Take ownership of intricate projects from idea generation through to production with minimal oversight.

• Convert vague product requirements into precise technical blueprints, milestones, and features ready for production.

• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to provide exceptional advertiser experiences.

• Create and sustain robust user-facing interfaces utilizing Next.js, React, and Typescript.

• Design scalable APIs, services, database architectures, and domain models that can be maintained as the platform expands.

• Collaborate with PostgreSQL and backend systems to ensure reliable advertiser workflows and reporting functionalities.

• Implement strong engineering practices including testing, clear architectural design, and thorough code reviews.

• Release features equipped with suitable monitoring, logging, alerting, analytics, and observability capabilities.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and address production issues related to the systems you develop.

• Take part in incident responses and postmortems, ensuring clear communication and ownership.

• Enhance codebase maintainability, documentation, conventions, and developer experience beyond your assigned tasks.

• Grasp advertiser workflows and proactively suggest improved product or technical solutions.

• Challenge weak assumptions and propose practical alternatives that balance speed, business impact, and long-term quality.

• Leverage AI-assisted development workflows to speed up delivery while upholding high standards for correctness and maintainability.

• Positively contribute to a shared codebase and foster a collaborative, low-ego engineering culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience delivering production-grade fullstack software, particularly with Next.js, React, Typescript, backend APIs, and PostgreSQL.

• Demonstrated capability to manage projects from inception to completion, including problem identification, rollout, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.

• Strong foundational knowledge in backend engineering: API design, architecture, testing, data modeling, and system design.

• Ability to independently create and advance complex user-facing experiences.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, breaking down projects, identifying dependencies, managing risks, and maintaining delivery momentum.

• Strong instincts for code quality, maintainability, and practical technical decision-making.

• Experience overseeing production systems, including monitoring, debugging, incident response, and postmortems.

• Collaborative, low-ego mindset with clear communication, especially in project delivery and during production challenges.

• A strong sense of urgency paired with the judgment to act swiftly without compromising reliability or long-term maintainability.
