Full-Stack Software Engineer, Internal Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, test, and sustain internal web services and user interfaces that facilitate software release workflows for engineering, QA, and operations teams.

• Emphasize efforts on frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, and embedded software.

• Collaborate with team members throughout the complete software lifecycle for internal services - from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and operations.

• Enhance observability throughout the deployment experience, including real-time status updates, logs, timelines, and audit trails that simplify understanding rollout health and troubleshooting failures.

• Fortify CI/CD processes, automated testing, and release safety checks to boost confidence in deployment tools and minimize operational risks.

• Contribute to deployment governance features such as auditability, role-based access, and tracking of privileged actions.

• Maintain high standards for production-quality, clean, and maintainable code while providing thoughtful feedback on pull requests, including constructively questioning assumptions, identifying risks, and enhancing overall engineering quality.

• Assist in production rollouts and release operations as required, and participate in the on-call rotation for internal services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience with significant ownership of production systems, internal tools, or other high-visibility software projects.

• Strong backend development experience with Node.js or TypeScript-based services.

• Proficient frontend experience with TypeScript and a modern web framework; preference for Vue, although React experience is also acceptable.

• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.

• Practical experience in designing, implementing, testing, and supporting production software with a keen focus on reliability and maintainability.

• Proven ability to take ownership of a problem area from start to finish, navigate ambiguity, and maintain momentum on significant cross-functional projects.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to engage in pair programming consistently, work closely with stakeholders, and adjust when priorities shift.

• Openness to provide candid, respectful technical feedback during code reviews and design discussions.

• A pragmatic, detail-oriented engineering mindset with strong testing instincts and careful consideration of downstream impacts.
