Full Stack Java Developer, Security Clearance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and release updated versions of the JChat Java Client (Swing)

• Develop, maintain, and release updated versions of the JChat Web Client (Angular)

• Develop, maintain, and release updated versions of the JChat Openfire Server

• Develop, maintain, and release updated versions of the M-Link Server for JChat

• Engage in Scrum ceremonies

• Enhance and sustain the development pipeline (CI/CD toolchain)

• Represent the JChat team at testing events

• Generate working snapshot builds bi-weekly

• Create release candidates and test reports for each work package

• Ensure code quality meets the standard: SonarQube A score (Security, Reliability, Maintainability)

• Maintain CI/CD uptime of ≥ 98% and a build success rate of ≥ 95%

• Collaborate with the NCIA Product Owner on backlog prioritization (JIRA)

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in informatics, computer science, or a closely related engineering discipline

• Minimum of five years of experience in software development with Java, including Java Swing

• Minimum of five years of experience in web development with Angular

• Proficiency in producing efficient, clear, readable, maintainable, and high-quality code

• Minimum of five years of experience in developing chat-related products based on XMPP, including the implementation of XEPs, the M-Link Server, the Openfire Server, and the Openfire plugin framework, along with troubleshooting XMPP communication

• Strong experience working within Scrum frameworks

• Relevant and recent experience in continuous software integration and automated testing, including familiarity with test automation frameworks

• Proficient in using Maven, Jira, GitLab, and Zephyr

• Adaptable, collaborative, and customer-oriented mindset

• Proficiency in English.
