This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
β’ Develop and deploy features throughout the entire stack: Next.js dashboards, FastAPI endpoints, and the Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL) data layer that supports them.
β’ Collaborate with Amazon data integrations: SP-API and Advertising API report requests, manage polling lifecycles, token refresh, handle rate limits, and map responses into our schemas.
β’ Oversee and enhance the reporting pipeline: scheduled report generation, batch processing using Cloud Tasks, and manage the states of long-running jobs, including running, queued, completed, and failed.
β’ Improve data-intensive frontend views (schedule lists, vendor, seller, and catalogue tables): implementing list virtualization, pagination, code-splitting, enhancing render performance, and tuning the TanStack React Query cache.
β’ Optimize the serving platform: address Cloud Run cold starts, concurrency, and minimum instances, while balancing hosting and content delivery network (CDN) considerations with latency and cost.
β’ Refine the read path in Structured Query Language (SQL) across BigQuery and PostgreSQL, aiding in schema evolution as workloads are migrated.
β’ Implement performance measurement (Core Web Vitals, application programming interface (API) latency, Cloud Run metrics) and address actual bottlenecks instead of relying on assumptions.
β’ Produce clean, well-tested code: including unit tests for service logic and integration tests for endpoints.
β’ Proficient in React and Next.js, capable of building features and executing real performance enhancements (rendering, bundle size, data fetching, and caching), not limited to one aspect.
β’ Strong backend proficiency in Python (FastAPI or similar): skilled in building, profiling, and optimizing APIs, with a comfort level in asynchronous code.
β’ Experience with integrating third-party APIs: managing authentication, pagination, polling, rate limits, and handling unreliable responses.
β’ Proficient in SQL for constructing and optimizing the read path, with BigQuery experience being a significant advantage.
β’ Comfortable working on a serverless cloud platform, able to analyze latency and cost implications.
β’ A measure-first mindset: you profile, instrument, and validate improvements.
β’ Practical experience with Docker, Git, and GitHub.
β’ **Nice to have**
β’ Practical experience with a cloud platform, preferably Google Cloud.
β’ Familiarity with the Amazon Selling Partner API (SP-API) or marketplace data.
β’ Understanding of web app hosting.
β’ Knowledge of observability tools.
β’ Experience in optimizing cloud costs without compromising performance.
β’ Capability to enhance an existing codebase.
β’ Systems thinking: you recognize how inputs relate to outputs and create configurable solutions rather than static ones.
β’ A preference for straightforward, maintainable solutions: you favor creating something a non-technical person can update over something complex that only you understand.
β’ Strong attention to detail.
β’ Proficient in written English: you will produce standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and methodology notes.
β’ Competitive salary, aligned with experience
β’ Fully remote working arrangement
β’ Paid Time Off
β’ Comprehensive onboarding, training, and mentorship from Amazon experts as well as the founding team
β’ Private Health Insurance (after 12 months)
β’ Opportunities for career advancement as the agency grows
β’ Collaborate with a skilled, cooperative international team
