Full Stack Engineer, Climate & Packaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovakia.

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary point of accountability for all technical aspects related to SAP RDP and other technologies within the Product: establish vision/roadmap, prioritize the backlog, oversee SLAs, and promote adoption across both global and regional teams.

• Collect and convert business requirements from stakeholders in Packaging, Sustainability, R&D, and Compliance into functional specifications, enhancements, and configurations.

• Supervise the implementation, configuration, and integration of SAP RDP within the SAP ecosystem (S/4HANA, Product Lifecycle Management, Business Technology Platform) and external data sources (such as regulatory intelligence feeds).

• Manage incident, problem, and change management processes for SAP RDP and other products within the climate and packaging product portfolio: coordinate root cause analyses, vendor escalations (SAP/Accenture/partners), testing, and deployment of updates (including new AI-driven features to enhance reporting accuracy).

• Track solution performance, usage, and KPIs (e.g., fee reduction, compliance coverage, material optimization impact); collaborate with analytics teams for dashboards and insights.

• Stay informed about global regulatory changes (e.g., EU PPWR, expanding EPR in over 200 jurisdictions by 2030) and integrate updates into the solution.

• Manage relationships with vendors and partners (SAP, Accenture, regulatory data providers); monitor licensing, support contracts, and renewals.

• Contribute to strategic initiatives: align SAP RDP with Mondelēz’s larger sustainability objectives, zero-waste goals, and digital transformation efforts (RISE with SAP, cloud ERP).

• Facilitate user training, change management, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance user adoption and business value.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Sustainability, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Over 5 years of experience in IT solution ownership, application management, or product ownership — ideally with SAP solutions in sustainability, supply chain, or compliance domains.

• Practical experience with SAP Responsible Design and Production (SAP RDP) or similar EPR/sustainability tools (e.g., packaging compliance, circular economy platforms).

• Strong knowledge of global packaging regulations (EPR schemes, plastic taxes, PPWR, corporate sustainability reporting).

• Background in the FMCG/CPG industry, with expertise in packaging design, material science, or supply chain sustainability.

• Familiarity with the SAP ecosystem (S/4HANA, BTP, PLM, Analytics Cloud) and integration strategies.

• Proven experience in agile methodologies, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration within a global matrix environment.

• Experience in implementing or managing SAP RDP or related SAP sustainability solutions.

• Relevant certifications: SAP-related (e.g., SAP BTP, Sustainability modules), ITIL, or sustainability credentials (e.g., Circular Economy, ISO 14001).

• Understanding of AI-driven features in contemporary SAP solutions for regulatory reporting and predictive insights.

• Experience in consumer goods packaging sustainability or projects focused on regulatory compliance.
