• Integrate third-party systems such as Geneva (portfolio accounting), market data vendors, CRM platforms, and administrative tools, while designing clean, well-tested adapters and reconciliation logic.

• Create reporting and BI solutions that include Tableau dashboards, internal web tools, investor reporting, and ad-hoc requests for portfolio composition and DDQ responses.
• Convert business requirements into engineering solutions—directly collecting needs from PMs, analysts, risk, IR, and operations; documenting functional and technical specifications; writing clear UAT plans and leading testing efforts.
• Deliver like an engineer—writing tests, utilizing source control (GIT/TFS), opening clean pull requests, managing tickets in DevOps, deploying through CI/CD, and monitoring what you deploy in production.
• Effectively utilize AI coding assistants to enhance delivery speed, minimize boilerplate, and elevate code quality, adhering to the verification, security, and review standards outlined in this document.
• Approximate Time Allocation:
• 60% development—services, APIs, front-end, integrations

• 15% requirements gathering, analysis, and UAT
• 5% production support and code review
• A bachelor's degree from a prestigious university in computer science, mathematics, physics, or another quantitative or hard-science field.
• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of business-critical web applications in production.
• Prior experience at a technology firm; strong preference for candidates from capital markets, hedge funds, asset management, investment banking, or financial technology vendors.
• Proven track record of delivering full-stack applications from end to end, from requirement definition through to production deployment and ongoing support.
• Backend: extensive experience with Python or .NET and C#; familiarity with REST APIs, asynchronous services, and integration patterns.
• Frontend: proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and modern frameworks (React/JQuery). Strong skills in responsive web design.

• Source control & tooling: experience with Git (or TFS), CI/CD, TFSDevOps, Confluence, and unit/integration testing.
• Cloud: experience in deploying and managing services on Azure or AWS is an advantage.
• Reporting / BI: experience in Tableau dashboard development; familiarity with SSRS is a plus.
• Understanding of fixed-income securities, bank loans, and credit instruments.
• Strong analytical and practical problem-solving abilities; capable of reasoning from first principles and verifying assumptions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate complex technical concepts to PMs and senior executives.
• A self-starter with a strong work ethic; comfortable managing multiple workstreams under deadline pressure.
