This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Work closely with clients, digital leaders, solution architects, and both technical and functional leads across Guidehouse's digital teams and market sectors to facilitate client engagements, promote growth initiatives, and enhance capability development.
• Act as a vital member of the modernization team, addressing technical challenges, delivering demonstrations, and creating innovative solution prototypes using cloud architectures and modern software technologies.
• Provide practical full-stack engineering for scalable, secure, distributed systems employing contemporary programming languages, cloud-native and microservices architectures, containerization, and API-first design patterns.
• Collaborate with user experience designers, platform engineers, product owners, solution architects, and business analysts to design, build, test, and deploy high-value, operationally resilient software products on AWS that satisfy both functional and non-functional requirements.
• At least four (4) years of relevant experience in full-stack application development.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required, or at least 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in developing cloud applications to build and modernize applications and datasets on AWS.
• Experience in implementing frontend and backend services for cloud-native software products and solutions using technologies such as Python, JavaScript, Django, and Vue.js.
• Required technical skills include proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
• Django experience is preferred; however, equivalent experience with Flask, FastAPI, Falcon, or SQLAlchemy may be considered.
• Vue.js experience is preferred; equivalent experience with React, Svelte, or Angular version 1.6 or higher may also be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating with, mentoring, and supporting team members to tackle complex technical issues.
• Proven capability to develop software products and solution prototypes, using those prototypes to validate technical strategies and effectively communicate the trade-offs of complex design alternatives.
• Comprehensive understanding of Agile and Scaled Agile practices and principles, with verified experience in planning and implementing software products with agility.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
• Due to the nature of this role and the associated government clearance requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) to be eligible for consideration.
• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must secure approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to joining Guidehouse.
