This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide technical leadership while aiding in the training and mentoring of fellow software developers and engineers.
• Engage in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), taking on responsibilities that contribute to the design, development, testing, and delivery of software systems or applications.
• Create and sustain robust applications that fulfill business needs and adhere to industry standards.
• Utilize a comprehensive understanding of object-oriented programming principles and best practices to design scalable and maintainable software solutions.
• Deploy and oversee Java applications, ensuring their availability, reliability, and scalability.
• Configure, monitor, and enhance application servers to guarantee high performance and reliability, improving user experience and reducing downtime.
• Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, automating the software delivery process and ensuring efficient deployment.
• Implement and uphold automated testing frameworks to assure software quality and reliability, integrating them into the CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute scripting, configuration, and troubleshooting tasks to support application development and deployment.
• Exhibit excellent communication abilities, including conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders to foster collaboration and understanding among teams.
• Employ strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to strategically approach complex technical challenges, discovering innovative solutions to achieve project goals.
• Function both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment, adjusting to changing requirements and priorities to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• At least 8 years of experience in a comparable role.
• Must possess an active IAT Level II certification; CompTIA Security+ CE is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or another technical discipline related to designing information systems.
• Proficient in Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript with over 8 years of experience in developing and maintaining robust applications.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and best practices.
• Experience with Apache HTTP Server for deploying and managing Java applications.
• Capability to configure, monitor, and optimize application servers for high performance and reliability.
• Practical experience with pipeline tools such as GitLab and Jenkins, with the ability to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Previous experience in Linux environments with skills in scripting, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in using Jira (or similar) for project management, issue tracking, and workflow customization.
• Experience with Confluence (or similar) for documentation, collaboration, and knowledge management.
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about intricate technical challenges.
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
