Full Stack, Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain cloud-native applications and services utilizing C#, .NET, and Azure.

• Design, deploy, and maintain environments in Microsoft Fabric.

• Create Bronze/Silver/Gold Medallion data architecture for both internal analytics and external self-service purposes.

• Offer 3rd-line support by troubleshooting intricate production challenges across systems, cloud, and data layers.

• Implement deployment automation, observability, monitoring, alerts, logging, and reliability processes.

• Prototype and integrate solutions driven by LLM for enhanced self-service, analytics, and development efficiency.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams from concept through to production.

• Contribute to the evolution of technical standards, documentation, and architecture.

• Establish data architecture in Fabric and Medallion for both internal and external use.

• Enhance the stability, observability, and performance of production systems.

• Diagnose live-environment issues and enhance data accessibility along with self-service analytics.

• Explore AI and automation to boost team productivity.


⛳️ Requirements

• Solid experience in C# / .NET development, including API design and backend systems.

• Practical knowledge of Azure services, encompassing App Services, Functions, Storage, Service Bus, and DevOps.

• Strong comprehension of data architecture and ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Proven track record in establishing Microsoft Fabric, Data Lakehouse, or Medallion architecture.

• Capability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems and identify underlying issues.

• Familiarity with SRE principles, including monitoring, incident management, and resilience.

• Knowledge of AI/LLMs, such as OpenAI or Azure OpenAI APIs.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a knack for transitioning from high-level strategy to practical execution.

• Experience in a startup or small-team environment and willingness to take on various roles.

• Familiarity with Power BI, Delta Lake, Synapse, or Databricks is a plus.

• Knowledge of Python or TypeScript for data or automation scripting is advantageous.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Bicep, and observability stacks is beneficial.

• A solid understanding of security, compliance, and data governance principles is a plus.

• Experience in integrating AI-driven agents or copilots into developer workflows is considered a plus.
