This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive AI applications encompassing backend, data, APIs, and user interface.
• Quickly transform ambiguous challenges into functional software solutions.
• Leverage AI-native tools to enhance the speed of delivery.
• Implement essential AI patterns including RAG, agents, prompt engineering, and evaluation.
• Construct and scale the AI Platform on Azure across multiple regions.
• Take ownership of core components such as APIM, identity, networking, observability, and data.
• Set up standards for CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), testing, and deployment.
• Integrate with both internal and external systems, including CRM and CX platforms.
• Utilize tools such as Zendesk, Genesys, Intercom, and Microsoft 365.
• Create APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
• Incorporate GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other compliance measures into the platform.
• Collaborate with Security/GRC on safeguarding data and managing access controls.
• Work alongside the Product team on the roadmap and decisions regarding build versus buy.
• Document systems, architecture, and processes for clarity and future reference.
• Oversee production systems to enhance performance, reduce costs, and ensure reliability.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering full-stack applications from start to finish.
• Practical experience with AI and large language models (e.g., Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic).
• Familiarity with RAG, vector databases, and agent-based systems.
• Proficient in utilizing AI-native development tools to expedite delivery.
• Strong backend development skills in Python, C#/.NET, or Node.js.
• Basic frontend development capabilities using React, Next.js, or similar technologies.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and architectural design.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to integrate SaaS platforms through APIs and event-driven methods.
• Understanding of production system dynamics and reliability standards.
• Familiarity with security and compliance regulations.
• Comfortable functioning as a founding engineer in a startup-like setting.
• Strong product-oriented mindset and adept problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Independent, proactive, and efficient in remote collaboration.
