This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Develop and sustain production-quality AI agents that perform actions across ANNA's clinical and operational workflows — including scheduling, intake, RCM, and clinical decision support — by utilizing LLM reasoning over our unified data ontology.
• Create and execute tool usage, state management, and failure handling strategies for multi-agent workflows, guaranteeing reliability and quality in production environments.
• Contribute to ANNA's MCP server suite, making core data and product surfaces — such as Salesforce, scheduling, RCM, and HR — accessible to AI agents in a standardized and composable manner.
• Implement and enhance RAG pipelines using pgvector, focusing on embedding strategies and vector search to retrieve relevant clinical history at the point of care.
• Develop and refine clinician-facing product interfaces in React, ensuring seamless integration with ANNA's AI agent backend and alignment with the real-world workflows of clinical teams.
• Take ownership of features from start to finish: from backend API design in Django/FastAPI to the front-end user experience, maintaining a high standard of quality at every layer.
• Rapidly iterate in collaboration with clinical and operational end users, integrating feedback and delivering improvements with speed.
• Contribute to ANNA's clinical data ontology — the shared, specialty-neutral data foundation that supports all AI agents, decision support, and outcome measurement across the platform.
• Write clean, well-documented, HIPAA-compliant code and assist in CI/CD pipelines and engineering best practices as the team expands.
• Engage in architecture discussions and aid in making pragmatic build vs. buy decisions throughout the technology stack.
• Over 4 years of software engineering experience, demonstrating full-stack proficiency across front-end (React) and back-end (Django, FastAPI, or equivalent Python frameworks).
• Practical experience in building AI agents or agentic workflows, with a solid understanding of LLM tool usage, prompt design, and production reliability considerations.
• Familiarity with RAG pipelines, vector databases (pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, or similar), and embedding-based retrieval in production or near-production settings.
• Knowledge of MCP or similar tool-calling/integration protocols is a strong advantage.
• Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments (HIPAA, GDPR) is preferred; a genuine commitment to data privacy and security readiness is essential.
• Professional proficiency in English; fluency in Polish is not required but is welcomed.
• Legally authorized to work in Poland (B2B contract or employment via a Polish entity).
• Competitive compensation rates aligned with the Warsaw market.
• Engaged through a Contractor of Record (CoR) arrangement — we manage all local compliance, contracts, and payments, allowing you to concentrate on your work.
• Fully remote work opportunities within Poland.
• Flexible working hours with significant afternoon overlap with our US East Coast team (EST/EDT).
• A role that offers high ownership and autonomy, directly impacting a platform that serves real children and families.
• A collaborative, mission-driven team dedicated to creating something truly innovative in one of the most underserved areas of pediatric healthcare.
