Frontend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, create, test, and implement new features utilizing technologies such as React, Typescript, Playwright, Vitest, and Buildkite.

• Take ownership of your code, respond to incidents, participate in on-call rotations, and engage in root-cause analysis for incidents.

• Ensure the software you develop meets the Definition of Done.

• Refactor code to minimize technical debt.

• Develop automated unit and integration tests within a continuous integration and delivery environment.

• Organize your tasks using Github, Jira, and Twilio’s build/deploy systems.

• Collaborate with fellow team members, including Product leadership, to influence, own, and enhance the platform.

• Actively engage in design and code reviews, backlog refinements, and other agile ceremonies while working with team members to fulfill sprint commitments.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in your team’s domain, either independently or collaboratively.

• Maintain documentation for the projects you contribute to.

• Quickly learn new technical skills and knowledge in a fast-paced and highly disruptive industry environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2+ years of practical development experience in creating Frontend applications using modern JavaScript technologies, preferably React and Typescript.

• Direct experience in developing and implementing testing strategies with robust automated testing frameworks like Playwright and Cypress.

• Familiarity with REST APIs or GraphQL.

• Understanding of modern automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.

• Advocate for strong engineering practices: development and testing techniques, security, and automation.

• Experience in triaging and resolving production issues.

• A positive attitude and the ability to learn and execute swiftly within a SCRUM team.

• Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

• Strong team player with effective communication skills in a remote work environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
