This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create intuitive and sophisticated user experiences that empower KoBolders who specialize in geology, geophysics, geochemistry, and data science.

• Take ownership of and enhance KoBold’s current web applications that facilitate data upload, discovery, search, and visualization.

• Collaborate with scientists to design new tools that assist with intricate, interactive 2D/3D geospatial visualizations, plotting, and data labeling.

• Advocate for frontend best practices. Update our technology stack to standardize user interfaces, accelerate prototyping, and deliver valuable applications for our geologists and data scientists. Provide mentorship to junior developers.

• Establish systems to automate the testing of our user interfaces.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining frontend applications that deliver a rich user experience.

• Proficient in writing production-quality code that is accurate, efficient, scalable, and extensible.

• Expertise in data visualization libraries such as D3, Leaflet, and others.

• Familiarity with modern JavaScript tools (node.js, TypeScript, React, Angular, etc.), contemporary deployment and cloud technologies, Python web frameworks (Django, Panel, Flask, etc.), and traditional frontend development (HTML, CSS, etc.).
