Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance high-quality frontend features for the Over99 web application and gaming interfaces.

• Utilize React, Vue 3, TypeScript, Vite, and contemporary frontend tools to create fast and reliable user experiences.

• Assist in creating interactive product flows for wallets, balances, gameplay, account functionalities, promotions, and real-time updates.

• Work collaboratively with senior engineers on frontend architecture, reusable components, state management, and performance enhancement.

• Implement real-time client-server features using technologies such as Socket.IO, WebSockets, and event-driven updates.

• Contribute to frontend experiences for games that involve animations, sound, timing, physics, and responsive interaction patterns.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA to ensure polished end-to-end features.

• Heavily utilize Cursor IDE, LLMs, and AI-assisted coding workflows in daily engineering tasks, including MCP-powered integrations and custom tooling built on Cursor.

• Learn and contribute to observability practices using tools like Datadog to gain insights into frontend health and user impact.

• Write maintainable, tested code and engage in code reviews, CI/CD workflows, and adhere to team engineering standards.

• Experience rapid growth through mentorship, hands-on ownership, and exposure to production-scale crypto gaming systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Recent graduate or early-career engineer with a solid foundation in frontend development and a portfolio, internship, co-op, or project experience to demonstrate capabilities.

• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend development practices.

• Experience in building web applications using React, Vue, or similar modern frontend frameworks.

• Strong grasp of component architecture, state management, API integration, and responsive UI development.

• Interest in creating high-performance interactive experiences, including animations, real-time updates, and client-server communication.

• Comfort with or willingness to learn AI-assisted engineering workflows using Cursor IDE, LLMs, and related developer tools.

• Familiarity with Git, code review processes, CI/CD workflows, and modern development tools.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a desire to learn from senior engineers.

• Capability to work remotely while maintaining effective communication, reliability, and a sense of ownership.
