This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• We are seeking skilled French (France) to English (GB and US) linguists to assist with a high-volume, quick-turnaround pharmacovigilance program for a prominent global pharmaceutical firm.
• The role includes translating and reviewing safety and regulatory materials, such as adverse event reports and associated clinical documentation, adhering to strict turnaround times and deadlines.
• This is a continuous freelance opportunity with daily workload expectations.
• Translate pharmacovigilance and/or clinical-regulatory materials from French into English.
• Conduct Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) on machine-translated safety documents.
• Execute Copy Edit reviews of translated/post-edited materials to ensure accuracy, tone, and consistency.
• Adhere to strict, non-extendable turnaround times for time-sensitive safety documents.
• Occasionally assist with transcription tasks, retyping scanned or handwritten PDFs into Word for subsequent translation (requires a personal Gmail account for client platform access).
• Operate within the client's CAT tool environment (XTM) following project-specific setup guidelines.
• A degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies, or an equivalent qualification that includes substantial translation training.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in translating Life Sciences documents.
• Preferred experience in translating pharmacovigilance content: SAE/AE (serious and non-serious adverse events), PSURs, SUSARs, ICSRs, DSURs, and Risk Management Plans (RMP).
• Alternatively, experience in translating regulatory or clinical documents: medical reports, protocols, synopses, ICF, discharge reports, study reports, SmPC, PIL, or medical literature.
• Excellent daily availability: this program requires consistent daily capacity and is unsuitable for part-time schedules.
• Strong proficiency in English; native-level English is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with XTM or similar CAT tools.
• Dependable, deadline-oriented, and adaptable, capable of committing to rapid turnaround times without extensions.
• Nice to Have: Background as a healthcare professional (HCP), such as a nurse or physician, especially with emergency room experience.
• Availability to cover US business hours.
• Willingness to commit to daily and/or weekend availability.
