Freelance Subtitling Linguist, English to Khmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Generate subtitle files by conforming, translating, proofreading, or conducting QC tasks utilizing Pixelogic's proprietary cloud-based subtitling software.

• Utilize the in-house glossary tool to ensure consistency across various products.

• Adhere to client style guide specifications.

• Manage file rejections and implement necessary corrections.

• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and adjust to evolving client demands.

• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive materials.

• Collaborate with the language services department on comprehensive localization projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bilingual in Khmer and English.

• Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in subtitling translation and/or proofreading is required.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proven ability to adhere to a strict schedule while delivering on time and maintaining flexible working hours.

• Capability to follow technical and style guides for various client content types.

• Quick adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to function as part of a team while managing shifting priorities and workloads.
