Freelance Senior Software Engineer – Fullstack, TypeScript/React, Go, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Our platform is expanding, and we are looking for a professional who focuses on architecture rather than just coding.

• You will become part of an engineering team as a seasoned freelancer and will independently spearhead specific technical initiatives.

• Design, implement, and scale microservices within a Kubernetes environment.

• Engage in full-stack development utilizing TypeScript/React, Go, and Python.

• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and manage containerization (Docker).

• Establish and enforce API standards, such as gRPC or FastAPI.

• Uphold clean code principles, testing methodologies, and repository organization.

• Provide guidance on architectural choices, performance enhancement, and scalability.

• Contribute technical insights to the roadmap and strategic development of the platform.

• Set up software engineering and quality assurance standards for the team to follow.

• Proactively identify and address intricate technical challenges.

• Collaborate with various teams to guarantee system integrity and uniformity.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development.

• An M.Sc. or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Proficient in German (both written and spoken) and possess good English communication skills.

• Familiarity with microservices, distributed systems, testing, and software engineering principles, particularly Clean Code, testing (unit, integration, E2E), code reviews, and repository structure.

• Strong understanding of frontend and backend technologies, containerization, CI/CD, and API design.

• Experience processing large volumes of data in a scalable manner.

• Practical experience with gRPC, REST, FastAPI, Docker, and GitHub Actions.

• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration skills.

• Capability to articulate complex technical issues clearly and implement sustainable solutions.
