This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Implement a premier visual strategy, ensuring that all imagery is consistent with the heritage and "prestige" branding of a leading global luxury company.
• Acquire top-tier photography from exclusive archives and partner agencies, ensuring all assets embody the brand’s legacy and contemporary significance.
• Collaborate with the creative team to outline and commission original photography and videography, overseeing high-stakes shoots from initial concept to final output.
• Supervise or execute expert-level retouching, color correction, and cropping, guaranteeing all assets are optimized for digital performance without compromising the "luxury feel."
• Collaborate with SEO specialists and social media leads to ensure that visual content is not only aesthetically impeccable but also effective across various platforms.
• Handle intricate image licensing, manage high-value budgets, and oversee usage rights for all global visual assets.
• Uphold stringent visual style guides to ensure a consistent, high-end experience across all editorial interactions.
• Stay informed about the luxury fashion and jewelry landscape to maintain the platform’s visual language at the forefront of trends.
• 5–7+ years of experience as a Picture Editor or Visual Producer, with a notable portfolio in high-luxury, fine jewelry, or prestigious celebrity fashion.
• Exceptional Aesthetic Sense: A "luxury-first" perspective with a profound appreciation for the nuances of jewelry photography, including light refraction and macro-detailing.
• Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Bridge, Lightroom) and familiarity with high-end Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
• Elite Network: Established connections with top photographers, retouchers, and luxury image libraries.
• Precision-Minded: A diligent focus on image quality, metadata, and the subtleties of high-luxury branding.
• Collaborative & Adaptive: Proven experience in a fast-paced agency or in-house luxury setting, balancing creative excellence with performance objectives.
• Passion for Craftsmanship: A genuine enthusiasm for high-luxury goods, heritage brands, and the artistry involved in jewelry making.
