This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.
• Identify, isolate, document, and resolve any localization or linguistic issues, verifying fixes through the use of test tools or databases.
• Adhere to and complete Test Cases and Checklists to conduct targeted testing and execute the relevant testing processes and procedures.
• Draft bug descriptions according to company standards and client requirements.
• Utilize knowledge of user preferences in the Target Market to influence the client's product decisions.
• Actively seek out gaps in test coverage.
• Collaborate with partner teams in the product testing process.
• Provide constructive feedback on gameplay, enjoyment, and game balance informed by knowledge of the target market.
• Perform any other tasks deemed suitable for the role.
• A regular gamer with a passion for the video game industry.
• Native-level proficiency in Malay (the testing language), with outstanding spelling and grammar skills.
• Proficient in Simplified Chinese and English (instructions, testing documentation, and team communications will be conducted in English).
• Experience in Gaming LQA.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in computer science, game design, or a related field is a significant advantage.
• Exceptional attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
• Outstanding interpersonal and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Understanding of digital technologies (such as mobile devices, tablets, and browser tools).
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• A driven, positive attitude, and the capability to excel in a fast-paced, innovative, and creative landscape.
• Bonus if you possess:
• Immediate availability.
• Experience in Game Testing.
• Background in software localization or quality assurance, or in a similar role within the Video Games or related industry, is a plus.
• Familiarity with various testing methodologies.
• Experience in game localization.
• Knowledge of bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Mantis, ADO, Bugzilla, etc.) or CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, etc.).
