This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Utilize Existing Media Connections and Cultivate New Ones: Engage with both mainstream and industry journalists and producers, track trends, and identify opportunities for media coverage.

• Propose and Obtain Media Coverage: Create pitches and targeted media lists, present story ideas, and arrange interviews to secure editorial placements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in media relations or public relations

• A well-established network of reporters in the energy sector

• Strong and creative writing skills in AP style are essential

• Ability to identify compelling story angles and craft engaging, relevant, and newsworthy pitches

• Excellent interpersonal skills; capable of pitching stories effectively via phone or email

• Highly self-driven, with the capability to work autonomously

• Exceptional organizational skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office required

• Candidates must be U.S. citizens or possess all necessary approvals to live and work in the U.S. without requiring Visa sponsorship.
