Freelance 3D Rendering Artist – Images & Video

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop photorealistic representations of a compact consumer hardware item, focusing mainly on a smart ring.

• Generate product visuals and videos for websites, advertisements, social media, pitch presentations, and internal design evaluations.

• Create brief product videos, turntable animations, motion tests, promotional visuals, and social/ad clips.

• Animate camera movements, product unveilings, material transitions, LED states, charging scenarios, and basic interaction concepts.

• Conduct realistic material studies involving ceramic, metal, resin, glass, plastic, LED, and charging/contact specifics.

• Rapidly develop various CMF and finish explorations from loose references.

• Collaborate with CAD/STP files, product imagery, factory schematics, and reference photographs.

• Establish clean lighting, camera perspectives, surfaces, and compositions that elevate the perceived quality of a small wearable product.

• Provide well-organized source files and export-ready still/video assets in tidy, reusable formats.

• Quickly iterate based on feedback from product, marketing, and hardware teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A robust portfolio showcasing product rendering expertise, preferably in consumer electronics, wearables, jewelry, watches, rings, or small hardware items.

• A strong portfolio featuring product videos, animations, motion graphics, or short 3D product advertisements.

• Exceptional understanding of lighting, materials, composition, scale, and product intricacies.

• Proficient in using Blender, Cinema 4D, KeyShot, Redshift, Octane, V-Ray, After Effects, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable rendering/video software.

• Comfortable working with imperfect inputs such as CAD files, rough product references, factory samples, and written directives.

• Capable of working efficiently and producing high-quality outputs independently without a large creative team.

• Strong file management skills and the ability to deliver final images, videos, and editable project files.

• Good written communication and prompt responsiveness.

• Beneficial but not mandatory: Experience in rendering jewelry, ceramic, titanium, PVD finishes, transparent/translucent materials, or compact electronics.

• Ability to integrate 3D renders with AI video/image tools where applicable.

• Familiarity with DFM, CMF, industrial design, or factory communication.

• Experience utilizing AI image/video tools as part of a rendering or conceptual workflow.

• Capability to lightly retouch or composite final outputs using Photoshop.
