Fractional Engineering – AI Operations Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and accountability.

• Establish engineering standards, workflows, and best practices.

• Assist in the hiring, onboarding, and development of engineering talent.

• Take ownership of executing technology initiatives proposed by executive leadership.

• Convert business objectives into actionable project plans and technical deliverables.

• Manage project priorities, timelines, resources, and outcomes.

• Identify and address technical blockers, risks, and dependencies.

• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of NIVA Health's agentic AI platform.

• Collaborate with leadership to discover opportunities for automation and AI-driven efficiencies.

• Ensure the platform's reliability, scalability, performance, and ongoing improvement.

• Support the deployment of new AI capabilities and workflows.

• Provide oversight for cloud-based systems and application architecture, mainly within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Ensure that solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.

• Champion documentation, technical governance, and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 - 7 years of experience in software engineering.

• 3+ years of experience in engineering leadership or technical management.

• Strong proficiency with Python and modern application development frameworks.

• Experience in managing engineering projects from initial concept to deployment.

• Familiarity with AI-enabled applications, LLMs, automation tools, or agentic systems.

• Experience working in cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Proven track record of operating effectively in startup or high-growth settings.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate directly with founders and executive leadership.
