FP&A Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the company forecasting model, which includes updates on actuals, revenue assumptions, expense projections, headcount planning, cash forecasting, runway scenarios, and scenario analysis.

• Generate monthly reports comparing budgeted figures to actuals, articulating the outcomes, reasons behind them, and recommendations for leadership's next steps.

• Collaborate with department heads to enhance transparency regarding expenditures, headcount, budgets, forecasts, and potential material risks.

• Maintain ongoing reports for KPIs, cash flow, and runway projections.

• Assist with financial analysis to support board, investor, fundraising, and strategic finance initiatives.

• Develop standardized reporting processes and templates to enhance the regular finance workflow.

• Collaborate with the accounting team and the Finance Analyst to ensure actuals align with the accounting close.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or finance within a startup.

• Proficient in financial modeling, with experience in creating or maintaining forecasts, budgets, management reports, and scenario analysis.

• Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets.

• Experience in preparing budget vs. actuals reports and conducting variance analysis.

• Strong grasp of SaaS or subscription-based business metrics, including ARR, MRR, churn, retention, CAC, payback, gross margin, burn rate, and runway.

• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, with the capability to validate outputs against source systems and verify assumptions prior to dissemination.

• Sound business judgment, including the ability to identify significant issues and propose actions based on analysis.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

• Experience utilizing AI or automation tools to enhance reporting, analysis, documentation, or routine workflows.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, economics, business, engineering, mathematics, or another analytical discipline.
