Founding Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Spearheading the development and launch of a new consumer product from the ground up, rapidly prototyping and eliminating any elements that do not contribute meaningfully.

• Taking full ownership of the product lifecycle, from user research through to implemented features, encompassing the entire user experience.

• Analyzing key metrics: retention, daily active users (DAU), and the engagement loops that influence our growth trajectory.

• Conducting continuous user interviews and transforming insights into products that resonate with users.

• Integrating AI as a fundamental aspect of development, utilizing contemporary tools to accelerate the transition from concept to production-ready minimum viable product (MVP).

• Making daring product decisions and innovative bets that influence our strategic roadmap and the direction of our company.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience, either as an engineer or collaborating closely with engineering teams.

• Proven track record of building and launching a B2C product with significant user engagement, preferably within the music, media, or streaming sectors, though high-engagement consumer products from other domains are also relevant.

• Deep understanding of user retention strategies, engagement loops, and habit formation.

• A balance of user-centric thinking and data-driven decision-making; you conduct interviews and base decisions on data insights, requiring proficiency in both areas.

• AI-savvy, with artificial intelligence integrated into your approach to research, design, and development.

• Experience from an early-stage, high-growth consumer company, or having founded one yourself, enabling you to think like an entrepreneur.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, performance-focused environment.
