This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Delivering personalized coaching to Mento members through virtual sessions utilizing the Mento Platform & Tools.
• Engaging in continuous training sessions to enhance coaching skills and abilities.
• Interacting with members via your Mento email or through chat in the Mento App between sessions.
• Being a vital part of the Mento coaching community by sharing coaching resources and insights — contributing to the enhancement of our coaching practices and fulfilling our mission to empower individuals to thrive in careers they love.
• Acting with kindness, respect, and empathy as a representative of the Mento community.
• A senior executive with 15+ years of experience in forward deployment or support engineering, responsible for managing teams and coaching individuals.
• Significant emphasis on team leadership experience — coaching certifications are appreciated but not mandatory.
• Experienced in balancing meaningful technical responsibilities while leading a team — possessing an understanding of delegation, prioritization, and guiding others without sacrificing your technical acumen.
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams through hypergrowth, rapid organizational changes, or transitioning from startup to scale — including the establishment of functions from the ground up and hiring amidst uncertainty.
• Proficient in influencing and establishing credibility both internally and externally within a customer’s organization.
• Capable of assisting engineering leaders in gaining visibility and impact beyond their immediate teams.
• Enthusiastic about transforming your people leadership skills into impactful coaching abilities. You are eager to develop your coaching expertise and approach the experience with a growth mindset, regardless of your coaching tenure.
• Driven by a passion for helping individuals progress in their careers to build rewarding lives and careers.
• A self-aware individual with a high emotional IQ, dedicated to fostering a safe environment where others can feel vulnerable.
• Comfortable in a rapidly changing startup setting.
• Committed to dedicating a minimum of 12+ hours per month to coaching at Mento over the next 24+ months.
• This role is a contract position where coaches are compensated on an hourly basis. In addition to a standard hourly rate, we provide select bonuses that incentivize engagement with our community and membership growth on our platform.
• You must be available to contribute a minimum of three to five hours per week to Mento, regardless of other commitments and any changes that may occur.
• A commitment to work with Mento for at least 24 months is required to foster meaningful relationships with our members.
