Forward Deployment Engineer – AI & Agentic Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with VIP clients to comprehend their business processes, identify pain points, operational challenges, and explore opportunities for AI or agentic solutions that can deliver measurable value.

• Design, prototype, and facilitate the implementation of AI-driven solutions utilizing large language models, agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, API integrations, automation tools, and human-in-the-loop review methodologies.

• Convert customer requirements into solution designs, technical architectures, implementation plans, prototypes, and recommendations for production readiness.

• Assist in AI adoption across various use cases including software quality, test automation, knowledge management, document analysis, workflow automation, case management, citizen services, operational reporting, and decision support.

• Develop functional demos, proof-of-concepts, pilot projects, and reusable accelerators that can be customized for various VIP customer engagements.

• Aid in the transition from prototype to production by defining technical requirements, integration needs, security concerns, testing strategies, support models, and adoption plans.

• Guide customers in assessing AI use cases with respect to data privacy, security, compliance, auditability, accuracy, explainability, and operational risk.

• Lead or assist in customer workshops aimed at discovering AI opportunities, designing solutions, planning pilots, preparing for implementation, and strategizing for adoption.

• Clearly communicate technical concepts to both executive and technical audiences.

• Produce customer-facing documentation such as solution briefs, architecture summaries, implementation roadmaps, pilot plans, operating procedures, and adoption guides.

• Educate customer teams on how to utilize, manage, evaluate, and enhance AI-enabled solutions.

• Support customers in progressing beyond experimentation by identifying actionable steps needed for adoption, governance, support, and the realization of long-term value.

• Collaborate with VIP delivery teams to incorporate AI capabilities into broader consulting, implementation, quality assurance, DevOps, data, and application modernization initiatives.

• Share insights and lessons learned across VIP’s SLG and Commercial delivery teams.

• Offer technical guidance to VIP consultants integrating AI into existing service offerings.

• Contribute to the ongoing development of VIP’s delivery methodology focused on responsible and practical AI adoption.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as solution architect, forward deployed engineer, technical consultant, implementation consultant, software engineer, automation architect, AI engineer, or systems integration consultant.

• Robust practical understanding of various AI/LLM platforms, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft Copilot/Azure AI, Google Gemini, and AWS AI services.

• Proven hands-on experience in designing, building, or implementing AI-enabled solutions, automation solutions, and enterprise integrations, particularly within workflow systems.

• Familiarity with agentic AI solution frameworks, including tool utilization, multi-step agents, AI workflow orchestration, MCP, retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluation methodologies.

• Strong technical foundation in several of the following areas: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, prompt engineering, data integration, workflow automation, test automation, DevOps, and enterprise application integration.

• Capability to engage directly with customers and software vendors to gather requirements, evaluate feasibility, design solutions, clarify trade-offs, and support implementation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to elucidate technical subjects to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in producing technical documentation, solution designs, architecture summaries, implementation plans, or customer enablement resources.

• Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous customer settings while adhering to structured delivery methodologies.

• Willingness to travel periodically for customer workshops, project meetings, and onsite delivery tasks.

• Background in ERP/CRM implementations, enterprise workflow automation, case management, software quality, test automation, DevOps, application modernization, and digital transformation.

• Understanding of the concepts and significance of AI governance, responsible AI, model evaluation, data privacy, compliance, and security review.
