Forward-deployed Engineer – LatAm

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Quickly develop and deploy AI features that address both customer needs and internal challenges.

• Take full ownership of projects from the initial scope and architecture through to implementation and production deployment.

• Design, construct, and launch AI-driven features and applications from concept to production.

• Integrate LLMs and AI models into current products and workflows, managing the complete stack from API integration to user-facing functionalities.

• Create intelligent automation tools that enhance internal processes, customer experiences, or business operations.

• Rapidly produce MVPs and prototypes to test ideas, iterating based on actual usage and feedback.

• Manage the entire project lifecycle: scoping, technical design, implementation, deployment, and monitoring.

• Develop robust APIs and backend services that support AI features, ensuring proper authentication, rate limiting, and error handling.

• Design and execute data pipelines that facilitate AI applications, including document processing, embedding generation, and vector search.

• Deploy and maintain containerized applications on AWS infrastructure (ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS).

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in Python; familiarity with Node.js or Java is a plus.

• Practical experience in integrating LLMs into production applications (beyond just prompt engineering); you have developed real features utilizing OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar APIs.

• Database knowledge, including PostgreSQL, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, pgvector), or data modeling.

• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS services (ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, SQS, etc.).

• API development skills, including RESTful services, authentication, rate limiting, and error handling.

• Experience building and deploying at least two AI/ML features or products to production that are used by real customers.

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (ECS, EKS, or similar tools).

• Comfortable with git workflows and CI/CD methodologies (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, automated deployments).

• Experience working across the full stack: backend APIs, data processing, and basic frontend integration.
