Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Engage in sales meetings with clients, articulating Runpod’s unique technologies, offering architectural guidance, and developing proof-of-concept solutions to facilitate onboarding for prospective high-value customers.

• Diagnose and resolve critical or intricate technical problems escalated by clients, including issues related to configuration, performance, functionality, compatibility, or coding errors in Runpod’s products or services.

• Employ a variety of tools and techniques, such as code analysis, testing scripts, log assessments, and remote access, to uncover root causes and provide solutions or workarounds.

• Effectively communicate with customers and internal teams, including engineering, sales, supply chain, and product management, to ensure customer satisfaction and incorporate valuable feedback.

• Support the customer support team in troubleshooting and resolving escalated technical issues, collaborate with the engineering team to offer workarounds or bug fixes, and liaise with the infrastructure team to resolve GPU server-related problems.

• Contribute to product development and testing initiatives by conveying feedback from customers and the support team to the engineering team, aiding in the enhancement of products.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, such as knowledge base articles, FAQs, guides, and manuals, while also designing and conducting training sessions, webinars, and demonstrations for customers, partners, and internal teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field) or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 3 years of professional experience in software development.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

• Familiarity with applied AI use cases, including inference, fine-tuning, LLM-based applications, or agentic systems.

• Excellent communication skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Located in the APAC region (preferably in Malaysia, Singapore, or South Korea).

• Successful completion of a background check.
