Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Interact with customers, partners, and prospects to comprehend their challenges, define technical requirements, create prototypes, and suggest effective solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams at Primer to meet the specific needs of our national security clients and implement our products in secure settings.

• Work alongside our Product Management and Engineering teams to recognize and prioritize feature development driven by customer feedback.

• Train, deploy, and fine-tune machine learning models using customer datasets.

• Dive into software source code to customize, integrate, and troubleshoot product deployments at customer sites.

• Offer expert knowledge to guide our DevOps and Engineering teams on feature and deployment improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current TOP SECRET clearance from the Department of Defense.

• Practical experience with a leading cloud services provider (AWS or Microsoft Azure).

• Professional background in developing and deploying Python applications.

• Proficiency in Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes; familiarity with the Linux shell is essential for operating services and deploying them at scale.

• Strong DevOps expertise; comfort with automation tools is necessary to expedite the deployment of infrastructure and software services in our customers’ environments.

• Excellent communication skills; you will serve as the technical representative of Primer to our clients.

• Bonus Points:

• Skills in full-stack web and backend development.

• Experience with natural language processing (NLP).

• Direct experience with secure, privileged areas of AWS or Microsoft Azure.

• Knowledge of identity management solutions for authentication and authorization.
